Intematix Offers New Red Nitride Phosphor for LED Lighting, Expands Customer Choices for Long Wavelengths
FREMONT, Calif., January 10, 2013 - Intematix Corporation, a leading innovator of patented phosphors and phosphor components for high-quality LED lighting today announced the introduction of its XR Series of red nitride phosphors for use in extending the color spectrum of LEDs. Based on a unique, patent pending composition, XR brings Intematix’s total number of long wavelength phosphor offerings to six.
“This is our second Red Nitride phosphor product introduction in the last year,” said Yi-Qun Li, Chief Technology Officer for Intematix. “We have a long innovation pipeline of phosphors targeted to increase the color quality, efficacy and reliability of LED lighting.”
Long wavelength phosphors play a central role in extending the color range of LED applications like general lighting and displays including TVs, monitors and tablets. Intematix’s product offering includes the XR, Ruby, LWR, ER and R red nitrides as well as the Orange silicate platform. The company holds over 400 patents and patent applications worldwide in LED lighting technology.
The XR red nitride takes a leading role in color stability with a less than perceptible 2SDCM measured color shift in accelerated aging testing making it a beneficial choice for the newest high power LED designs.
