Intematix Corp. recently introduced its proprietary energy efficient “phosphor-paint” retail signage. Consuming 60-80% less energy than conventional fluorescent or neon signs, the display is also much brighter at night and in daylight while offering a full color palette of vibrant colors to sign owners. The unique signage efficiently converts blue LED light into desired colors at the display surface instead of the traditional method of filtering white light and wasting unused blocked light energy. The result is a vivid, “eye-popping” sign that stands out at night and in daylight.
The phosphor-paint sign utilizes a universal light source that allows rapid customization and production. Unlike existing fluorescent paint solutions, the signs themselves are unaffected by sunlight/UV and will continue to deliver brilliant, vivid colors over their extended lifetime. The ultra-low power consumption of the royal-blue LEDs also enables high quality portable solar- or battery-powered signage.
